My book review

The book is called «Nanostructures and Nanomaterials. Synthesis, Properties and Applications». It was written by Chinese scientist Guozhong Cao in 2004.
This paper provides an overview of fundamental bases of a nanotechnology. In the book are described structure and properties of low-sized objects. Zero-dimensional, one-dimensional and two-dimensional formation are carefully considered. As an example of such structures, quantum points, nanorods, nanofilms and others are selected.
The special place in the work was given to methods of formation of nanoobjects. Furthermore, the kinetics of their growth and stabilizing was described in detail. The factors influencing properties, the form and structure of nanoobjects were defined.
The book contains quite large volume of information on this topic. However this work doesn't give complete picture of structures, their properties and materials which are developed and applied in a nanoindustry. It is rather an introduction to the field of nanotechnologies. However, this work helped me to understand features of growth of nanoscale structures. Also the book is written by rather simple and clear language, and it is a clear advantage before others similar ones.
The information presented in this paper is relevant at the present. Therefore, the book «Nanostructures and nanomaterials. Synthesis, Properties and Applications» will be of interest to scientists, students and people interested in the development of modern science and nanotechnology, in particular.
